1st Enterprise presentation meeting

After a very productive first meeting we have devised a strategy for the next few weeks. We spent our first session together deciding on what sort of business we intend to be and devising a very definite mission statement for ourselves. We felt that without getting all of this as clear as possible we can't really move on.

We have decided to create a fictional design company specializing in re-vamping companies that are either suffering or just in want of a spruce up. We intend to offer a design service which incorporates graphic design, interior design and promotion. The kind of industries that we would be looking to target would be catering and hospitality, retail and bars/clubs, but effectively any company that wants this service could be catered for with us because of our broad range of skills. At first, we would target smaller, independent companies until we have built up some recognition and reputation. An example of how we could work with an account could be with a restaurant for example; we would collaboratively come up with a concept and then work to design the menus, interior, branding and promotion in accordance with that concept. Its almost like a "package makeover."
We thought this would be an interesting idea to work with to give our company and edge and potentially offer a service which is completely unique*.
*pending reseach will determine this! 

Once we had written and agreed upon an appropriate mission statement together, we broke down the company into the necesary roles and who would be most appropriate for each :
Some roles overlap, but as we are such a small company and share some skills, we felt that this was inevitable. However we decided that it definitely was necessary to include the following roles;

-Accounts manager
-Creative director
-Financial director

We are still negotiating whether managing director is a necessary role for our company considering its small size. We then divided up the research that we thought was initially essential based on these roles, splitting some of the heavier areas over two people.

We are going to meet up and discuss our research next week. Our next port of call after that is designing a marketing strategy so that we can then target our budget.
