VISUAL LANGUAGE_What is a line... Evaluation

I have really enjoyed this brief, in all honesty, a lot more than I first thought I would when we were first briefed. I have especially enjoyed having this amount of time to really develop drawing styles. I am pleased that I chose to start my sketchbook of drawings right at the start as it has allowed me time to really see developments or at least interesting changes in my drawing style. I don't feel that the blind drawings necessarily improved, but they certainly varied in style and quality from day to day, which I often find is the case with my drawing ability. I actually think the book itself and the images within it are more visually interesting than the more polished and developed ideas I did separately. I enjoyed looking at other artists styles of line drawing, and experimenting with line thickness, frequency and length. If I had gone on to develop a final piece, I think I would have continued the free, experimental style and I would have liked to begin experimentation with working onto 3d objects, or even just a wall as a surface, like Erone, rather than sticking with paper. The main aspect of this project that I enjoyed and would like to take forward is the idea of working with found implements rather than just sticking with the conventional pen.
